Beyond his athletic prowess, Jackson was known for his unwavering determination and aspirations to excel not only on the field but also in all aspects of life. O'Connell added, "In our short time together, it was evident Khyree was going to develop into a tremendous professional football player, but what was more impressive was his desire to become the best person he could be for his family and those around him."

According to the Maryland State Police, the accident occurred around 3:14 a.m. on Saturday in Prince George's County. Three vehicles were involved in the collision: a maroon Dodge Charger, a silver Infiniti Q50, and a silver Chevrolet Impala.

Jackson, who was a passenger in the Charger, succumbed to his injuries at the scene, along with 23-year-old Isaiah Hazel, who was driving the car. Another passenger in the Charger, 23-year-old Anthony Lytton Jr., was rushed to a hospital but later died.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the driver of the Infiniti, Cori Clingman, may have been traveling at an excessive speed when she attempted to change lanes and struck the Charger, causing it to collide with the Chevrolet. Alcohol is believed to be a possible contributing factor to the crash. Clingman had two other passengers in her car who remained uninjured, as did the driver of the Chevrolet.

Jackson's tragic passing has sent shockwaves through the football community, with his former teammates and coaches expressing their grief. Jackson played at Dr. Henry Wise Jr. High School in Maryland, where he forged close bonds with his fellow teammates.

The Vikings organization is deeply affected by Jackson's untimely demise. General Manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah stated, "We are heartbroken by the loss of Khyree Jackson. He was a promising young man with a bright future ahead of him. Our hearts go out to his family, friends, and teammates."

Khyree Jackson's legacy will live on as a testament to his talent, dedication, and aspirations. His contagious spirit and unwavering pursuit of excellence will serve as an inspiration to countless others. The football world has lost a rising star, but his memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and admired him.
