Former NFL star Rob Gronkowski expressed admiration for the Kelce brothers' recent podcast deal, dismissing criticism that tight end Travis Kelce's off-field activities are affecting his performance. Gronkowski's comments come amid speculation that Kelce's slow start to the season may be due to partying and jet-setting with his girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
Former NFL star Rob Gronkowski has weighed in on the recent podcast deal signed by the Kelce brothers, Jason and Travis, expressing his admiration for their success. Gronkowski, who retired from the league in 2019, is known for his outgoing personality and his own podcast, "The Gronkowski Show."

In an interview with Fox News Digital, Gronkowski praised the Kelce brothers for their entrepreneurial spirit and their ability to connect with their audience. "They're great guys, they work hard, and they know how to entertain," Gronkowski said. "I'm really happy for them and I wish them all the best."
Gronkowski's comments come amid speculation that Travis Kelce's off-field activities are impacting his performance on the field. Kelce, who is entering his 10th season with the Kansas City Chiefs, has been criticized for his slow start to the 2023 campaign. In the Chiefs' first three games, Kelce has recorded just 11 receptions for 110 yards and no touchdowns.

ESPN analyst Todd McShay has been particularly critical of Kelce, suggesting that his partying and jet-setting with his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, are wearing on him. McShay pointed to Kelce's body language on the sidelines during games as evidence of his lack of focus.
However, Gronkowski defended Kelce, dismissing McShay's criticism. "I don't think Travis Kelce is out of shape or that he's not locked in," Gronkowski said. "He's a great player and he's going to have a great season."

Gronkowski also pointed out that Kelce is about to turn 35 years old and that every player experiences a decline in their physical abilities as they age. "Travis is still one of the best tight ends in the league," Gronkowski said. "He's going to bounce back and have a great season."
Kelce himself has downplayed the criticism, saying that he is still learning the new offense under Chiefs head coach Andy Reid. Kelce also noted that he is coming off an injury-plagued 2022 season and that he is still getting back into game shape.
The Chiefs are currently 2-1 on the season and will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4. Kelce will be looking to rebound from his slow start and help the Chiefs improve their record.
