Rob Lowe and Michael J. Fox share a hilarious memory from a star-studded bus trip in 1986. During an appearance on Ted Danson's "Where Everybody Knows Your Name" podcast, Lowe recounted the wild incident that unfolded while they were on a tour through California for Prop 65, a campaign to clean up the water system.

"There were two different buses," Lowe explained. "We got pulled over for speeding, but also because Michael J. Fox and I were smoking pot out of the top of the Greyhound bus roof."

Lowe painted a vivid picture of the scene as the police officer pulled them over, revealing a veritable who's who of Hollywood stars. "The cop pulled us over ... it was like a clown car — out came Whoopi Goldberg, Cher, Judd Nelson, Michael J. Fox, Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broderick, Robert Downey Jr., Jane Fonda, Danny Glover," he laughed.

When Danson asked why the Greyhound bus was pulled over, Lowe replied, "We had the top emergency hatch off, Michael and I, and we were smoking pot."

According to Lowe, the officer was taken aback by the busload of celebrities. "He's going, 'Whoopi! Cher!' and we're like, 'Yeah, we're here for Prop 65,'" Lowe recalled. "He said, 'You're speeding.' I said, 'I'm sorry, I was just trying to keep up with Tom Cruise's bus.'"

Lowe went on to describe how the officer let them off with a warning, but not before Fox made a playful attempt to bribe him with a Matchbox car. "Michael was like, 'Here, here's a Matchbox car,'" Lowe said. "He goes, 'No, it's cool.' He was so cool about it."

The incident is just one of many memorable moments from Lowe's time in Hollywood, which he has chronicled in his recent memoir, "Love Life." In the book, he opens up about his struggles with addiction and his journey to sobriety, which began after a wake-up call in 1990.
