Nicole Shanahan, the independent vice presidential pick, alleges that Democrats have used super PACs to prevent the Kennedy/Shanahan ballot from gaining access to the ballot. She claims that the party has engaged in a pattern of obstruction, including suing the campaign and rigging the media and polls.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s running mate, Nicole Shanahan, has accused the Democratic Party of obstructing a fair election and preventing the Kennedy/Shanahan ballot from gaining access to the ballot.
In a post on Thursday, Shanahan claimed that Democrats have been "flooding" her with frantic calls, texts, and emails, expressing their concern over the possibility of the campaign endorsing former President Donald Trump.

"Unlike Ro, I wouldn’t dream of airing those private conversations publicly, but the message is clear: they’re terrified of the idea of our movement joining forces with Donald Trump," Shanahan wrote.
She pointed out the efforts by Democratic super PACs to sabotage their campaign, including lawsuits and media rigging.

"When I point out what the Democratic Party and their super PACs have done to sabotage our campaign, their response is always, ‘but Trump is worse.’ Here’s an idea: stop suing us. Let us debate. Quit rigging the media and the polls. It’s a simple formula, people—get with it," Shanahan wrote.
Shanahan joined Fox News @ Night on Tuesday, reiterating her claims of Democratic obstruction.

"You know, it's Bobby's decision. I came into this supporting him wholeheartedly to win this election. And I have to say, there's only one party that has obstructed fair, a fair election for us. And unfortunately, it was the Democratic Party. They've done everything they can, including creating PACs to prevent us from being able to have ballot access," Shanahan said.
The Kennedy/Shanahan ballot has faced challenges in getting on the ballot in several states, including New York, where it was blocked due to a residency dispute.
In a recent Fox News poll, RFK Jr held 6% of the national vote, down from 10% in July. However, former President Trump expressed his respect for Kennedy and said he would be "honored" by an endorsement.
Nicole Shanahan did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.
The accusation by Shanahan highlights the divisions within the Democratic Party, as some members have expressed concern over the possibility of RFK Jr and Shanahan joining forces with Trump.
It remains to be seen whether Kennedy and Shanahan will ultimately endorse Trump, but their allegations of Democratic obstruction have further fueled the ongoing debate about the role of third parties in the upcoming election.
