Prince William and Prince Harry could both be in New York City next month, potentially crossing paths at separate events.
Prince William and Prince Harry, the sons of King Charles III, may find themselves in the same city next month, potentially setting the stage for an encounter that has been the subject of much speculation.
According to a representative for the Duke of Sussex, Harry is scheduled to attend the U.N. General Assembly High-level Week and Climate Week in New York City. The event runs from September 22nd to 29th, and Harry plans to "advance a number of his patronages and philanthropic initiatives."
Royal Brothers' Potential New York City Encounter
Coincidentally, Prince William's global environmental contest, the Earthshot Prize, is co-hosting the third annual Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit at the Plaza Hotel on September 24th. It is unclear if William will attend the event, but his potential presence in the city could raise the possibility of an encounter with his estranged brother.
The ongoing rift between the brothers has stemmed from Harry and his wife Meghan Markle's royal exit in 2020. The couple cited the unbearable intrusions and racist attitudes of the British media as reasons for their departure.

Despite the rift, Harry flew to the U.K. in February to visit Charles after the monarch's cancer diagnosis. However, he was reportedly not allowed to stay at any of the royal homes and did not have a reunion with William.
In June, Harry also avoided an encounter with William by declining an invitation to the wedding of Hugh Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster. A royal expert told Fox News Digital at the time that Harry's presence would have turned the event into a media circus, which he wanted to avoid.
Royal Brothers' Potential New York City Encounter
The brothers' potential encounter in New York City comes amidst reports that William is "adamant" about giving his children a normal life. Royal author Robert Hardman, who spoke about the heir to the British throne, has written a book about his father, "The Making of a King: King Charles III and the Modern Monarchy."
Hardman believes that William is determined to shield his children from the intense scrutiny and pressure that he and Harry have faced. He notes that William and his wife Kate Middleton have made a conscious effort to raise their children in a relatively private setting, away from the public eye.
Royal Brothers' Potential New York City Encounter
It remains to be seen whether William and Harry will cross paths in New York City. However, the potential for an encounter has reignited speculation about the state of their relationship and the possibility of reconciliation.
