Ryan Gosling and Mikey Day brought back their iconic '90s cartoon characters at Tuesday's premiere of "The Fall Guy," donning the wigs, costumes, and signature goofiness from their viral "Saturday Night Live" sketch.

At the Los Angeles premiere of his latest film, "The Fall Guy," Ryan Gosling surprised and delighted attendees with a second red carpet walk in full Beavis and Butt-Head regalia, accompanied by his "Saturday Night Live" co-star Mikey Day in costume as the iconic dim-witted duo.

Gosling, who stars in the action comedy as stuntman Colt Seavers, had earlier strutted the red carpet in a sharp mint green suit. However, he later reappeared in a blonde wig, torn "Death Rock" T-shirt, and came to life the mischievous animated character from the 1990s.

Day, known for his spot-on comedic impressions, completed the iconic duo with his full Butt-Head costume, including the character's signature red shorts, white tank top, and spiky hat.

The appearance of Beavis and Butt-Head was a nostalgic nod to their viral "SNL" skit from April, which had the cast breaking character in a fit of laughter. In the sketch, Heidi Garner interviewed a college professor (Kenan Thompson) about artificial intelligence, but the interview was derailed when Gosling entered as Beavis.

Garner's moderator character asked Gosling to move, then turned around to see his hilarious costume, prompting her to erupt in laughter. Gosling was then replaced by Day as Butt-Head, eliciting even more laughter and a pause in the scene.

The skit became a social media sensation, with Garner later admitting to Vulture that she had lost it during dress rehearsals when she first saw Day in costume. Despite her efforts to prepare herself for the live show, she couldn't control her laughter.

Gosling's latest role in "The Fall Guy" is a significant departure from his portrayal of Ken in the highly anticipated "Barbie" movie. In "The Fall Guy," he plays a daredevil stuntman who teams up with a director (Emily Blunt) to investigate a mysterious conspiracy.

Gosling and Blunt's latest films, "Barbie" and "Oppenheimer," respectively, had a friendly rivalry this summer, with both actors starring in highly anticipated blockbusters.

"The Fall Guy" is set to hit theaters on May 3, 2024, promising a thrilling and nostalgic adventure with Ryan Gosling at the helm and Mikey Day bringing the beloved Beavis and Butt-Head back to life.
