Scottie Scheffler, the two-time major winner who recently welcomed his first child with his wife, Meredith, is reflecting on his accomplishments with a newfound perspective. Despite his recent hot streak that included earning his second Masters green jacket in April, Scheffler remains grounded and focused on giving his best on the course.

Entering the PGA Championship, Scheffler isn't putting any added pressure on himself. Instead, he is opting to appreciate his current success and not get caught up in future expectations. "I'm just trying to do the best I can out there each and every week," he said. "As far as anything else, I'm not really too concerned with it."

Fatherhood has given Scheffler a different perspective on his life and career. "I may win a lot of major championships. I may be stuck at two the rest of my career. It doesn't really concern me in the moment," he said. "I'm just trying to prepare as best as possible for this week."

While he is proud of his achievements, Scheffler recognizes that life is about more than just golf. "At home it was a nice time to reflect a little bit on my career so far and where my life has gone," he said. "I married my high school sweetheart and I always wanted to play professional golf, and now I'm here."

Scheffler took several weeks off after his Masters victory to be with his newborn son. During that time, he was able to practice at home and simulate a competitive environment by gambling with friends on the greens. "I don't really want to lose to them, either, so I was able to simulate a little bit of competition at home," he said.

Scheffler is scheduled to tee off in the first round of the PGA Championship on Thursday at 2:13 p.m. He will be grouped with Brian Harman and Wyndham Clark. The tournament marks the second major of the year and a chance for Scheffler to continue his impressive run.

Despite his recent success, Scheffler remains humble and grateful for the opportunities he has been given. "I'm very fortunate to be in the position I'm in," he said. "I'm just trying to make the most of it."

Scheffler's approach to the game and life is a testament to his character and determination. He has consistently demonstrated his ability to perform under pressure, but he also understands the importance of enjoying the journey. As he continues his career, Scheffler will undoubtedly face new challenges, but his unwavering focus and newfound perspective will serve him well.
