A man in Seattle was apprehended after assaulting two theatergoers inside a Regal Thornton Place cinema, threatening patrons with a firearm and causing panic that led to a mass evacuation.
The incident unfolded shortly before 10 p.m. on Friday, September 15, at the Regal Thornton Place theater in Seattle, Washington. According to the Seattle Police Department, a 30-year-old suspect became agitated when a fellow moviegoer passed by his row of seats on multiple occasions.

After the second instance of the moviegoer passing by, the suspect erupted in rage, claiming that he possessed a handgun. He then brandished the firearm and struck one of the victims with it, prompting an attempt by other patrons to disarm him.
During the ensuing struggle, the magazine of the handgun ejected, causing patrons to flee the theater in a panic. Amidst the turmoil, the suspect continued to threaten violence, yelling, "I've got a gun," "I'll shoot you," and "I'll shoot everyone."

Both victims received medical attention at the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital. The suspect was uncooperative and argumentative during his arrest and was subsequently booked into King County Jail.
