An Air Force veteran who attended former President Trump's campaign rally in Pennsylvania has come forward to highlight security failures that preceded the assassination attempt. The veteran noticed several concerns that went unaddressed, raising questions about the adequacy of protective measures.

An Air Force veteran who witnessed the assassination attempt on former President Trump has shared her account of glaring security lapses that went unnoticed prior to the incident. Sarah Taylor, a veteran of 18 years, attended the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13 and observed several concerning factors that she believes should have been addressed.

Taylor, who has served in combat zones, said she was immediately struck by an eerie building behind the stage where Trump was speaking. Despite the presence of some law enforcement patrolling a field outside the building, there was a noticeable absence of security personnel on the roof.

"We just kept looking back at it thinking, ‘Something’s not right,'" Taylor recalled. "… I'm used to looking at my surroundings. I was deployed overseas — I knew something wasn't right about that area."

Taylor also noted a "huge void" in the security around the building. While she observed "sharpshooters" to her left, she couldn't help but feel that there was a critical gap in the protective measures.

"There was a huge void in that area," Taylor said.

According to Taylor, the sharpshooters shifted their positions and focused their attention on a specific area shortly before 5 pm, the time Trump was originally scheduled to speak. This引起了 Taylor 的注意,她认为可能有值得注意的事情发生。

"Prior to that … they were just setting up that kind of stuff, but it seemed like there was something that provoked their attention," she said.

Law enforcement officials have since confirmed that they spotted the suspect, Thomas Crooks, around 5:10 pm that day. However, no action was taken at the time.

Taylor wonders why no law enforcement personnel saw the same security concerns that she did.

"There should have been counter-snipers on top of that [AGR] building," she said.

Taylor also credits the former president's campaign production team with saving his life. She believes that the team's decision to remove teleprompters and display immigration statistics on a large screen gave Trump just enough time to move his head out of the line of fire.

"I'm pretty sure whoever was running that part saved his life," Taylor said.

Taylor expressed concern about the overall handling of the event, saying that the Secret Service, which is responsible for protecting the president, should have been better prepared.

"They're supposed to be the best trained in the world to protect our president and vice president," Taylor said. "If this is their normal day-to-day, we're in a lot of trouble."

In the wake of the assassination attempt, Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle has resigned, admitting that the agency "failed" to adequately protect Trump.

The incident has raised serious questions about the effectiveness of security measures at presidential rallies and the ability of law enforcement to respond effectively to potential threats.
