Actress Selma Blair has come out in strong support of Israel and condemned protesters who she says are praising terrorists. In an Instagram Story, Blair denounced the anti-Israel sentiment prevalent in California, particularly among those who seem to sympathize more with "jihadists" in Gaza than with the Jewish state.

Selma Blair, known for her roles in "Cruel Intentions" and "Legally Blonde," has forcefully denounced the support for terrorists and jihadists by protesters in the wake of the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict. "About a year ago, after October 7, there was a chance for the world to see what terrorists are capable of, and so much of the world, especially where I live in California, doesn't seem to see this tragedy and the truth of what is happening," Blair asserted.

She emphasized her steadfast support for Israel, its hostages, and their families, denouncing the "jihadists, the radicals, the extreme" who control Gaza and who are being praised by many. "Something very wrong is happening here," Blair declared.

Her support for Israel is not new. In February, Blair faced criticism for a now-deleted Instagram comment in which she advocated for the deportation of "terrorist supporting goons" and condemned the destructive influence of Islam. However, she later apologized for the sweeping language used in her comment, acknowledging the conflation of Muslims with radical Islamists.

Blair's latest video statement came shortly after the Israel Defense Ministry confirmed the execution of six hostages, including Israeli-American Hersh Goldberg-Polin, during an operation in tunnels below Rafah in the Gaza Strip. The IDF believes the hostages were killed by Hamas just before Israeli forces were about to rescue them.
