Chicago Sky guard Chennedy Carter has ignited a fiery controversy in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) after launching a social media attack on Indiana Fever rookie sensation Caitlin Clark. Carter's actions stem from a flagrant foul she committed on Clark in a recent game, leading to a heated post-game exchange and a flurry of social media activity.

Carter initially evaded questions about Clark following the Fever's 71-70 victory but has since taken to social media to express her feelings. On the popular Threads app, Carter responded to a post discussing her post-game press conference, challenging Clark's abilities beyond three-point shooting.

"That's that on that cause beside three-point shooting what does she bring to the table man," Carter wrote.

In a separate Threads post, Carter acknowledged the support of her teammate Angel Reese, who celebrated with her after the foul.

"my dawg fasho, got all my teammates," Carter wrote about Reese.

Carter's activity on Twitter also hinted at her disdain for Clark. On Sunday, the WNBA upgraded Carter's third-quarter foul on Clark to a flagrant-1 violation, drawing a fine for Clark for skipping post-game media availability.

Despite her struggles in the recent game, Clark has impressed in her rookie season. With 11 points, eight rebounds, and three assists in the win over the Sky, Clark joined New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu as the only players in WNBA history to have at least 100 points, 50 rebounds, and 50 assists in their first 10 games.

Clark, however, remained composed after Carter's social media attack.

"I wasn't expecting it," Clark said after the game. "It is what it is. It's a physical game. Go make the free throw and execute on offense, and I feel like that's kind of what we did."

The burgeoning rivalry between Carter and Clark adds a layer of intrigue to the WNBA season. With both players possessing strong personalities and determination to prove their worth, their future encounters on the court are sure to captivate fans.
