Sid Wilson, the keyboardist for heavy metal band Slipknot, was hospitalized after sustaining serious burns in a fire explosion on his farm. The incident left him with burns on his face, arms, and body.
Musician Sid Wilson of the heavy metal band Slipknot has suffered severe burns after a fire "explosion in my face."
The 47-year-old keyboardist shared a video from the hospital on Instagram, showing his injuries and explaining the incident.

"I had an explosion in my face," Wilson said. "My face is burnt and my cheeks."
Wilson was hospitalized with an oxygen tube and wires attached to his body. He appeared to be struggling to speak after the incident, which he later revealed was caused by a bonfire he was lighting on his farm with his girlfriend, Kelly Osbourne.

"I'm okay. I'm going to be okay, but I did have some serious burns in my face and my arms," Wilson updated his fans.
The musician's phone was shaking in the video as he described the extent of his injuries. He explained that doctors had taken X-rays to ensure he hadn't inhaled any flames.

Wilson showed the damage on his face, including singed eyebrows, a blister on his mouth, and burn marks on his arms.
"I don't care what it takes, I will see you on tour," Wilson reassured his fans, despite his hospitalization.

Throughout the video, Wilson expressed the pain he was experiencing, saying his body "stings a lot." He provided updates on his condition and said doctors were treating his wounds.
In a caption accompanying the video, Wilson simply wrote, "Ouch."
Kelly Osbourne, Wilson's girlfriend, also posted videos on social media, sharing her concern and warning others against tampering with burn piles.
"This is why you don't f--k with burn piles," Osbourne said. "He literally set himself on fire; exploded everything. Ugh."
Osbourne's videos showed Wilson in the background on a hospital bed. A clip with text that read "I have no words" had Osbourne shaking her head in disbelief.
Wilson later posted a second video explaining that he had been transported to another hospital with a better burn facility.
"Worst parts my arms… they’re going to shave my head, so say goodbye to the long hair," Wilson said, showing a close-up view of his lips and burned arm.
"I’m a trooper… not exactly, but I’m hanging in there pretty good."
Wilson urged his fans to be cautious when dealing with fire. "Be really careful if you’re dealing with fire," he advised.
Representatives for Wilson and Osbourne have not yet responded to requests for comment.
The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of fire safety and the potential dangers of mishandling flames. It is crucial to always exercise caution when working with fire and to heed the warnings of experienced professionals.
