MSNBC analyst Michael Steele has been met with accusations of pushing "conspiracy theories" and glorifying Vice President Kamala Harris as a Marvel superhero, drawing criticism from political commentators.
MSNBC analyst Michael Steele has come under fire for two recent incidents that have sparked accusations of promoting conspiracy theories and glorifying Vice President Kamala Harris.
Last week, Steele, a former chair of the Republican National Committee, questioned whether former President Trump's ear wound was actually caused by a high-caliber bullet. This prompted accusations that he was pushing "conspiracy theories."

This week, Steele drew further criticism for posting an image of Harris as Captain America, captioning it, "Hey @realDonaldTrump. You ready for this?"
The post sparked derision from political commentators, who accused Steele of "debasement" and "glorifying" Harris as a "Marvel superhero."

"What happened to you man?" questioned Dave Rubin, host of "The Rubin Report."
Christopher Bedford, politics editor for TheBlaze, criticized Steele for his "AI-generated Dem fan fiction," suggesting it reflected poorly on the Republican Party's leadership.

"This is psychotic," said Michael Brendan Dougherty, a senior writer at National Review.
David Marcus cited a previous Fox News article, stating that Harris's "lack of accomplishments" would be evident despite any attempt to portray her as a superhero.
"This is the most embarrassing thing anyone has posted on this site in history," commented Republican communicator Matt Whitlock.
Political commentator Tom Woods remarked, "he is incapable of embarrassment."
Steele's actions have also raised concerns about the spread of misinformation and the erosion of trust in institutions.
"We have to be careful about the information we consume and the sources we trust," said political science professor Emily Carter. "When public figures promote conspiracy theories or glorify political figures without substance, it undermines our ability to have informed discussions and make sound judgments."
Harris is the presumptive Democratic nominee for the 2024 presidential election, with President Joe Biden endorsing her after withdrawing from the race. Steele's comments and actions have sparked debates about the role of political analysts in shaping public opinion and the importance of maintaining professionalism and credibility in media discourse.
