Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) has expressed concern over the possibility of the corporate media creating a "fake image" of Vice President Kamala Harris.
Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) has warned that the corporate media will attempt to create a "fake image" of Vice President Kamala Harris. Cruz made the comments during an interview on "Hannity," expressing his belief that the media will portray Harris as someone she is not.
"They're gonna try to create a fake image of Kamala Harris," Cruz said. "They're gonna say, 'Oh, she's moderate, she's reasonable, she's not really a leftist.' But the truth is, she's a radical, California leftist. She's in favor of the Green New Deal, she's in favor of Medicare for All, she's in favor of defunding the police."

Cruz's comments come as Harris's approval ratings have declined in recent months. According to a recent poll by the Pew Research Center, Harris's approval rating has dropped to 40%, down from 49% in February.
Some analysts have attributed the decline in Harris's approval ratings to her handling of the crisis at the southern border. Harris was tasked with leading the Biden administration's efforts to address the surge in migration at the border, but critics have argued that she has not done enough to stem the flow of migrants.

Others have suggested that Harris's approval ratings have declined because she has not been as visible as other members of the Biden administration. Harris has not held a solo press conference since she was sworn in as vice president, and she has not traveled overseas as part of her official duties.
Despite the decline in her approval ratings, Harris remains a popular figure among Democrats. A recent poll by the Democratic National Committee found that 83% of Democrats have a favorable view of Harris.
It remains to be seen how the media will portray Harris in the coming months. Cruz's comments suggest that some Republicans believe the media will attempt to create a positive image of Harris, regardless of her actual record.
