The ESPN broadcast quickly panned to a box that showed Peyton Manning hugging country star Morgan Wallen, who was wearing a pinstripe Tennessee baseball jersey. Rick Barnes, the Volunteers' men's basketball coach, and Josh Heupel, the football coach, were also seen celebrating in the stands.

Tennessee's early lead was crucial after they lost the first game of the series to Texas A&M, 9-5. The Aggies nearly put the Volunteers away in Game 2, holding a 1-0 lead for most of the game.

Tennessee has made the College World Series in 2021 and 2023 but has never reached the final three-game series. The team's only appearance in the championship series came in 1951, where they finished as runners-up.

Texas A&M has also made the College World Series twice in recent years, in 2017 and 2022, but like Tennessee, they have never advanced to the final three-game series.

The game is poised to be a thrilling conclusion to a hard-fought series, with both teams desperate to make history.
