The co-hosts of "The View" launched a scathing attack on former President Trump's Republican National Convention (RNC) address, labeling it as "narcissistic," "xenophobic," and "beneath the dignity" of the office.

On Friday morning's episode of "The View," the liberal co-hosts delivered a blistering review of President Trump's over-90-minute speech at the RNC, leaving no stone unturned in their condemnation.

Co-host Ana Navarro, a staunch defender of President Biden, opened the salvo by alleging that the speech was a clear exhibition of Trump's "cognitive decline." She expressed her exasperation that the media and Washington had been preoccupied with Biden's age while ignoring Trump's evident cognitive issues.

"If Joe Biden had been up there giving that speech, men in white coats would have interrupted him and carted him off and put him in a padded wagon," Navarro lamented. "I thought today I would wake up and the TV would be full of like, doctors talking about Donald Trump's cognitive decline. I thought it would be full of Republicans hanging their heads in shame like Democrats did."

Navarro's critique did not end there. She went on to accuse Trump of xenophobia for his immigration rhetoric and his use of the term "China virus" to refer to COVID-19 during the speech. She also criticized him for making digs at his political rivals.

"It was a xenophobic, ugly vision of America speech," Hostin declared.

Co-host Sunny Hostin piled on, labeling the speech as "performative" and utterly lacking in the unifying spirit that should characterize a national convention. She added that it was "beneath the dignity of a national convention from the nominee of a major party."

"It was a self-serving, narcissistic speech that was not about the American people," Hostin said.

Joy Behar, another co-host, found fault with Trump's comments about God's providence in sparing his life in the assassination attempt. She accused him of un-Christian arrogance for claiming God's favor while ignoring the tragedy that befell others in the same incident.

"When something like this happens to you, like this assassination attempt, and you say something like, ‘God was watching me,’ that is a very un-Christian thing to say because he's very narcissistic. What about Corey? What's his name? The fireman who also got killed. What about all those guys who got killed on Sandy Hook?" Behar asked.

"Oh, 'God was watching me and not watching them'? There's something very disturbing about that," she added.

The co-hosts also took aim at Trump's praise for Corey Comperatore, the Pennsylvania firefighter who was tragically killed in the assassination attempt. They argued that Trump's focus on Comperatore while ignoring the other victims was self-serving and insensitive.

"Tragically, the shooter claimed the life of one of our fellow Americans, Corey Comperatore, and seriously wounded two other great warriors. David Dutch and James Copenhaver. I spoke to all three families of these tremendous people — our love and prayers are with them, and always will be," Trump said during his address at the RNC.

"Corey, a highly respected former fire chief... was accompanied by his wife Helen... and two precious daughters. He lost his life selflessly acting as a human shield to protect them from flying bullets... what a fine man he was," he added.

Despite the repeated inquiries made by Fox News Digital, the Trump campaign remained silent on the matter.
