Nick Cannon has acknowledged the reality that his hopes for a reconciliation with ex-wife Mariah Carey are unlikely to materialize. In a recent interview with People Magazine, the 43-year-old television personality conceded that Carey has no desire to reunite with him.

"Yeah, she don't want me," Cannon said. "She's moved on from my crazy antics."

Cannon's admission comes after he expressed a different sentiment in August during an interview with E! News. At the time, he claimed he would "absolutely" get back together with Carey if given the opportunity.

"Be stupid if I wouldn’t," Cannon said at the time. "We belong together."

Carey and Cannon were married for eight years before finalizing their divorce in 2016. They share twins Moroccan and Monroe, who were born in 2011. Despite their separation, the couple has remained on good terms and continues to co-parent their children amicably.

Cannon's acknowledgment of Carey's disinterest in him marks a shift in his perspective. However, he maintains a positive outlook on their co-parenting relationship.

Cannon emphasized the importance of prioritizing children in co-parenting relationships. "At the end of the day, if you put the kids first and remove ego, you can do anything," he said.

"I have a 7-year-old in fourth grade," Cannon said, referring to Golden. "He's just so smart that even school is boring to him."

Cannon acknowledged the challenges of raising teenagers, particularly his 13-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe. "Teenagers are scary. I feel like I'm still a teenager," he said. "To see my daughter literally becoming a young woman before my eyes, it is very scary."
