**Article**:

GovTrack, an organization that tracks congressional voting records, has removed a web page that ranked Kamala Harris as the "most liberal" U.S. senator in 2019. The self-described "government transparency website" scored Harris as the "most liberal compared to all senators" in 2019, outranking Sens. Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren at the time. However, the web page with the ranking was recently deactivated, now displaying a "Page Not Found" message.

The Internet Archive shows that the page was deleted sometime between July 10 and July 23. When reached by Fox News Digital, GovTrack founder Joshua Tauberer said the page was removed because the company adopted a policy "several years ago" to end its single-year ratings of lawmakers and only issue ratings based on Congressional sessions, which are two years.

Tauberer explained that "the limited data available in a single year was not sufficient to create a reliable portrait of the activity of legislators" and therefore did not serve as a useful tool for users and the public.

Despite the removal of the single-year ranking, Tauberer confirmed that GovTrack still publishes report cards based on two-year congressional sessions. Harris' existing 2020 web page ranks her ideology as the "most politically left compared to Senate Democrats" for the 116th Congress, second only to Independent Sanders.

The group's analysis is based on senators’ "legislative behavior" and their record of sponsoring or cosponsoring bipartisan bills, which it acknowledges "only takes into account a small aspect of reality." The analysis in 2019 showed that Harris joined bipartisan legislation "the least often compared to Senate Democrats."

The removal of the ranking has raised questions about potential political motivations, especially in light of Harris' recent endorsement as Biden's successor. However, Tauberer maintains that the decision was based solely on the organization's policy shift.

Harris has received endorsements from several notable figures, including former President Bill Clinton, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, and former Speaker Nancy Pelosi. As she heads toward the Democratic nomination, her allies in the media have suggested that it is unfair to hold her accountable for the issue of illegal immigration, drawing criticism for contradicting their own previous reporting.
