Sinatra, known for his iconic smoky voice, responded with a candid revelation: "I've never met a singer worth his salt who didn't smoke two packs a day."
Danza has been a lifelong Sinatra fan, idolizing him since childhood. His mother introduced him to Sinatra's music, teaching him to appreciate the nuances of the singer's performances.

During his run on "Who's the Boss?," Danza longed to have Sinatra appear on the show. He approached Sinatra's daughter, Tina, at a Los Angeles restaurant and made his request. To his surprise, Sinatra agreed.
"The next day, I got a call saying Sinatra would do it," Danza said. "I don't know why he decided to do it, but I made everybody crazy on set when he came because I told them, 'He only does one take. I will kill anybody who messes up the take.'"

Despite his nerves, Sinatra's appearance on the show went smoothly. However, Sinatra surprised everyone by offering to do another take.
"Everybody looked at me like, what a dope you are," Danza recalled.
Danza is currently promoting his new cabaret show, "Tony Danza: Sinatra & Stories," which pays tribute to the legendary singer.
"I'm not trying to approximate him at all," Danza said of his show. "We have new arrangements of the songs. I'm not going to sing like him or anything like that; I will take charge like he did when he took the stage," said Danza. "The, 'I'm here, and I belong here, approach.'"
Danza's cabaret show will kick off on September 10 at Café Carlyle in New York City.
