Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing defeat when they host Burnley at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday. Spurs were beaten 2-0 by Manchester City last weekend and have now lost three of their last four Premier League matches.
Those defeats mean Spurs' hopes of Champions League qualification hang by a thread, with fourth-place Aston Villa seven points ahead and seemingly out of reach. However, Tottenham will be confident of getting back to winning ways against a Burnley side who are bottom of the table and have lost their last five matches.
Burnley were beaten 3-0 by Newcastle United last weekend and are now seven points adrift of safety. The Clarets have struggled all season and look destined for relegation.
Tottenham will be without the suspended Cristian Romero for the match, but they will be boosted by the return of Richarlison and Rodrigo Bentancur. Burnley will be without the injured Ashley Barnes and Jay Rodriguez.
Tottenham are expected to start with a strong side, with Harry Kane leading the line. Burnley are likely to field a defensive team and will look to frustrate the hosts.
The match is expected to be a close one, but Tottenham will be the favorites to win. Spurs have a better squad and are in better form than Burnley. However, the Clarets will be fighting for their lives and will be hoping to cause an upset.
**Prediction:** Tottenham 2-0 Burnley
* Tottenham: Harry Kane, Son Heung-min, Dejan Kulusevski
* Burnley: Wout Weghorst, Josh Brownhill, James Tarkowski
* Tottenham have won their last two matches against Burnley, including a 4-0 victory at Turf Moor in October.
* Harry Kane has scored in each of his last four matches against Burnley.
* Burnley have not won away from home in the Premier League since January 2022.
