The Maryland Department of State Police has released the name of the fifth victim recovered from the wreckage of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore. The victim has been identified as Miguel Angel Luna Gonzalez, 49, of Glen Burnie.

The search for the missing vehicle and Gonzalez's body had been ongoing since the bridge collapsed on March 26 after being struck by the Sri Lanka-bound Dali container ship. The collision sent the 984-foot vessel crashing into the bridge, causing a section of the span to collapse into the river below.

Divers from the Maryland State Police Department's underwater recovery team and the FBI assisted in the effort to lift Gonzalez's body from the water. Multiple agencies, including the Key Bridge Response Unified Command, had been involved in the search and rescue operation since the collapse.

Colonel Roland L. Butler, Jr., the superintendent of the Maryland Department of State Police, expressed his condolences to Gonzalez's family and the families of the other victims.

"We remain dedicated to the ongoing recovery operations while knowing behind each person lost in this tragedy lies a loving family," Butler said in a press release. "Along with our local, state and federal partners, we ask that everyone extend their deepest sympathies and support to the families during this difficult time."

The search for the remaining missing worker is still ongoing. On the night of the collapse, two workers were rescued from the water while six remained missing. They were presumed dead, and all but one has since been recovered.

The cause of the bridge collapse is still under investigation. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is leading the probe, with assistance from multiple agencies, including the Maryland State Police, the Coast Guard, and the Federal Highway Administration.

The investigation is expected to take several months to complete. In the meantime, the Maryland Department of Transportation is working to repair the bridge and restore traffic flow across the Patapsco River.

The Francis Scott Key Bridge is a major transportation artery in Baltimore, carrying an estimated 150,000 vehicles per day. The bridge connects the city's Inner Harbor with the Locust Point neighborhood.

The collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge has been a devastating event for the Baltimore community. The loss of life and the disruption of traffic have had a significant impact on the city. The search for the remaining missing worker continues, and the investigation into the cause of the collapse is ongoing.
