The debate over transgender athletes participating in women's sports continues, with former NFL reporter Michelle Tafoya joining the growing chorus of voices advocating for the preservation of biological female competition.

The fight to ensure the fairness and integrity of women's sports has taken center stage in recent months, as the Biden administration's rewriting of Title IX to expand protections for transgender individuals has reignited the debate. Former NFL reporter Michelle Tafoya has emerged as a vocal critic of the policy, arguing that allowing transgender people to compete against biological females is fundamentally unfair.

"It is insane, this whole thing is insanity," Tafoya declared on OutKick's "Don't @ Me" podcast. "Thank God for voices like J.K. Rowling and Riley Gaines and others. Apparently, you need big voices like that to keep up, to keep countering this ridiculousness."

Tafoya's stance is rooted in her belief that the physical advantages enjoyed by biological males make them inherently unsuitable to compete with women. "I don’t care if the male is intact or was born a male – they don’t belong in a women’s locker room, they don’t belong on a women’s team," she asserted. "They are not women. So this notion that trans women or women, it’s ridiculous, because there’s a reason you put the ‘trans’ in front of the word ‘woman,’ because you’re not a woman."

Critics of Tafoya's views often label those who oppose transgender inclusion as hateful and transphobic. However, Tafoya vehemently rejects these accusations. "If you can’t compete, join the millions of other people that have come in last place in a race," she said. "But that doesn’t mean you get to change genders so you can be in third place or first place in a race. That ain't the way this works."

"We’re not hateful, we’re helping women," Tafoya emphasized. "We’re in a weird time. This is one of those lies that they want to keep propagating. ‘Trans women are real women, trans women are real women,’ and then they’ll eventually believe it. I’m not going to believe it."

The debate over transgender athletes has gained significant momentum, with several states filing lawsuits to block the implementation of Biden's Title IX changes. In May, the New Hampshire senate passed a bill barring transgender athletes in grades 5-12 from competing against the gender they identify as. Arkansas Gov. Sarah Sanders also issued an executive order in response to the new Title IX regulations, expressing her disapproval of the "attack on common sense."

The fight for fair competition in women's sports is far from over, with Tafoya and other advocates vowing to continue their efforts to protect the integrity of female athleticism.
