Kelce debuted his new facial hair on Sunday, July 21, as the Chiefs took to the field at Missouri State University in St. Joseph for their first practice of training camp. Sporting a handlebar mustache, Kelce was greeted by excited fans who had gathered to witness the team's return to action.

The mustache marks a significant departure from Kelce's previous facial hair style, which featured a beard of varying lengths. Kelce's beard had become a prominent part of his image, similar to the long beard of his former Philadelphia Eagles teammate and podcast co-host, Jason Kelce.

Back in September of last season, Kelce briefly experimented with a similar mustache style, but this is the first time he has sported it at training camp.

In a video shared by the NFL team, Kelce was seen interacting with fans who had come out for the practice. "Thanks for coming out today, guys," he said to the enthusiastic crowd.

Kelce's mustache was the center of attention in photos and videos posted by the Chiefs, including one of him throwing a touchdown pass to teammate Xavier Worthy, which elicited cheers from the crowd and a touchdown dance from Worthy.

The mustache is not the only notable change in Kelce's appearance since the offseason. The tight end has also lost some weight, which he attributes to a change in diet and increased focus on fitness.

Kelce returns to practice with the back-to-back Super Bowl champions after a busy offseason. He spent time in the crowd and even on the stage during Taylor Swift's Eras Tour, where he surprised fans with a cameo appearance in a tuxedo and top hat as one of Swift's dancers.

Kelce also filmed the upcoming FX series "Grotesquerie," marking his first major acting role.

Despite his off-field activities, Kelce has continued to prioritize his football career, filming episodes of his "New Heights" podcast with his brother Jason and preparing for the upcoming season.

The Chiefs will continue prepping for the 2024-25 football season with training camp until Aug. 15. They will play a preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Aug. 10 before starting the regular season on Sept. 5 against the Baltimore Ravens.
