Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce's fame has skyrocketed, leading to an influx of deliveries at his home, forcing him to terminate mail service.
The Kansas City Chiefs' Travis Kelce has become a household name in recent years, but his newfound stardom has come with unexpected consequences.
Kelce's popularity surged after the Chiefs' Super Bowl victory, but it escalated further when he was linked to music superstar Taylor Swift. The revelation brought an influx of new followers, including "Swiftie-Chiefs" fans. However, his newfound fame came at a price.
Kelce's home address was leaked online, resulting in an overwhelming amount of deliveries to his residence. The deliveries became so excessive that Kelce was compelled to halt mail service to his home.
"The one thing you don’t realize when somebody posts your house online, that everybody now has your address, and people just send stuff to your house, so I literally stopped getting mail to my house," Kelce explained on his "New Heights" podcast with his brother, Jason. "I had to literally tell the post office and everybody stop bringing stuff to my house… Anything sent to my house, send right back to the sender."
Despite the privacy concerns, Kelce's career remains on an upward trajectory. He recently signed a lucrative contract extension with the Chiefs, making him the highest-paid tight end in NFL history.
With nine Pro Bowl selections and four All-Pro honors, Kelce has established himself as one of the league's elite players. He is on the cusp of surpassing Antonio Gates as the third-most prolific receiving tight end in NFL history.
While Kelce missed the 1,000-yard mark for the first time since 2015, he was just 16 yards shy and missed two games, earning his ninth consecutive Pro Bowl nod.
Kelce's success on the field has not overshadowed his newfound fame, which has brought both blessings and challenges. As his star continues to rise, he navigates the delicate balance between public recognition and maintaining his personal privacy.
