Beryl is expected to produce heavy rainfall of 4 to 8 inches, with isolated amounts of up to 12 inches, over the Lesser Antilles. This rainfall could cause life-threatening flash floods and mudslides. The storm is also expected to produce hurricane-force winds of up to 74 mph.

A dangerous storm surge and surf are also expected to accompany Beryl. The storm surge could raise water levels by as much as 2 to 4 feet above normal tide levels along the coasts of the Lesser Antilles. This storm surge could cause significant flooding and erosion.

Residents in the path of Beryl are urged to make preparations for the storm. This includes securing loose objects, stocking up on food and water, and having a plan to evacuate if necessary.

The track of Beryl is expected to shift slightly over the next few days. The storm is likely to turn to the northwest on Monday and head towards Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. However, the storm's exact path is uncertain and residents should monitor the latest forecasts.

The National Hurricane Center is advising residents in the Lesser Antilles to closely monitor the progress of Beryl and to be prepared to take action if necessary.
