Former President Donald Trump showcased his golf skills in a charity challenge with reigning U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau, playfully addressing his previous debate with President Joe Biden about their golf handicaps.
Less than a month after engaging in a heated debate with President Joe Biden regarding their respective golf handicaps, former President Donald Trump seized the opportunity to display his golfing prowess alongside reigning U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau in a charity challenge.
During a CNN-hosted presidential debate on June 27, Trump and Biden exchanged barbs over their golf handicaps. Trump initiated the discussion while bragging about his physical fitness, claiming to have recently won two "club championships."

"You have to be quite smart, and you have to be able to hit the ball a long way," Trump asserted. "He can't hit a ball 50 yards. He challenged me to a golf match — he can’t hit a ball 50 yards."
Biden, taken aback by the remark, responded by stating that he had managed to lower his handicap to six during his tenure as vice president.

However, Trump, an avid golfer, remained skeptical. "That’s the biggest lie — that he’s a six handicap — of all."
Trump revisited the incident during his round with DeChambeau, a LIV Golf star. "You think Biden can do that? I don't know," Trump said as he teed off on the second hole. "We had an argument about golf, can you believe it?"

DeChambeau, impressed by Trump's opening shot on the 111-yard, par 3, exclaimed, "Great shot, that’s how you do it right there."
Playing at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in New Jersey, Trump and DeChambeau combined to score 22-under. The duo pledged to donate $10,000 for each stroke under par to the Wounded Warrior Project, resulting in a donation of $220,000 for the day.
"I want to thank President Trump for coming on this episode of Break 50! It was an honor to play a round with the former president and raise a ton of money for the Wounded Warrior Project," DeChambeau wrote in a comment under the video.
"This was all meant to be about golf, good fun, and supporting a great cause," he added.
The charity challenge concluded with a friendly atmosphere, highlighting the camaraderie between Trump and DeChambeau. The event not only showcased Trump's golf skills but also demonstrated the power of sports in uniting people for a worthy cause.
