Meanwhile, text messages obtained from Beaver County emergency services in Pennsylvania have revealed the extent of their staffing shortage in the lead-up to the Trump rally where the shooting occurred. The texts, provided to Fox News Digital by the office of Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, show that team leaders from the emergency services were asked to assist with security for the Trump event just days prior to the rally.

In a discussion between the team leaders, one individual expressed that his team was already fully occupied and could not take on the additional responsibility of the rally. The texts also revealed that multiple team members were either on vacation or out due to injuries.

The staffing shortage raised concerns about the ability of the Beaver County emergency services to adequately respond to potential emergencies at the rally. At one point, a team leader suggested that they inform Butler County, where the rally was held, that the Beaver County emergency services may need to be "on call" instead of providing direct assistance.

The text messages highlight the challenges faced by emergency services in providing adequate coverage for large events, especially when faced with staffing shortages. The investigation into the Trump assassination attempt continues, with a focus on understanding the motives of the shooter and the security measures in place at the rally.
