Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris clashed in a heated presidential debate Tuesday night, with Trump blaming Harris and the Biden administration for allowing "millions" of criminals and terrorists into the United States.
The debate, which was the first and possibly only one of the 2024 general election cycle, took place at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Trump and Harris traded barbs throughout the debate, with Trump repeatedly accusing Harris of lying and Harris accusing Trump of being a racist and a threat to democracy.
One of the key issues discussed was immigration, with Trump accusing the Biden administration of having a "disaster" policy that has led to a record number of illegal immigrants crossing the border.

"They've destroyed our country," Trump said. "They have a policy that you say 'they have to hate our country.'"
Harris defended the Biden administration's immigration policy, saying that it was focused on securing the border and providing a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants.

"She doesn't have a plan," Trump said. "She copied Biden's plan. And it's like four sentences like 'Run, Spot, Run' for sentences that are just, oh, we'll try and lower taxes."
Harris said that Trump's policies would hurt the economy and that she had a plan to build an "opportunity economy."
