Former President Donald Trump delivered a fiery speech at the National Rifle Association's Annual Meeting in Dallas, Texas, on Saturday, criticizing President Biden's cognitive abilities and calling for drug tests during debates. Trump also targeted Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., labeling him a "radical left" and urging gun owners to avoid wasting their votes on him.

Trump received thunderous applause from the crowd as he took the stage after receiving the NRA's endorsement. He thanked his supporters but reprimanded them for their low voter turnout, stating that gun owners need to vote in order to achieve their goals.

"If gun owners would vote, we would swamp them at levels that nobody's ever seen before," Trump said.

Trump then turned his attention to RFK Jr., warning the audience not to "waste their vote" on him.

"RFK, Jr. — I call him Junior by the way — he's radical left. Don't think about it. Don't waste your vote," Trump said.

Trump accused RFK Jr. of destroying New York and lacking policy positions. He also likened him to a pesky fly, swatting at one that hovered around the stage.

"This guy is radical left who destroyed New York," Trump said. "Actually, he's a disaster."

Trump claimed that RFK Jr. called supporters of the Second Amendment a "terrorist group" and had no policy on anything.

"We can't waste any votes," Trump added. "We have to make sure we win."

The former president also took aim at Biden, alleging that he was "high as a kite" during his State of the Union address in March.

"Now, he did that State of the Union the other day. He was high as a kite," Trump said. "So, I think we should go for drug tests on the debate."

Earlier on Saturday, Trump's campaign announced the creation of a new "Gun Owners for Trump" coalition, which includes gun rights activists and firearms industry representatives.

Trump's speech highlighted his ongoing efforts to rally his base and energize support for the Republican Party ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
