Former President Donald Trump has announced that he will not participate in a third debate this election cycle, claiming victory after Tuesday’s showdown against Vice President Kamala Harris. Harris, however, has expressed interest in having another debate.

Former President Donald Trump has declared himself the victor in the ABC News Presidential Debate and rejected the possibility of a third debate this election cycle.

Trump made the announcement on his Truth Social account, stating that he had won the debate against "Comrade Kamala Harris, the Democrats' Radical Left Candidate." He cited a CNN flash poll that found a majority of watchers thought he had won, as well as focus group reactions from Fox News Digital.

Trump also criticized the ABC News moderators, accusing them of unfairly targeting him and "fact checking" his statements while leaving Harris's distortions unchallenged. He referred to the debate as a "three on one" situation.

In contrast, Harris's campaign expressed interest in having another debate, but Trump remained skeptical. He pointed out that Harris had not attended a debate hosted by Fox News and had also declined invitations from NBC and CBS.

Trump emphasized that he believed the country had faced significant challenges under the leadership of Harris and President Joe Biden. He cited a surge in crime and illegal immigration, as well as inflation that had eroded the middle class.

"Everyone knows this, and all of the other problems caused by Kamala and Joe — it was discussed in great detail during the First Debate with Joe, and the Second Debate with Comrade Harris," Trump said.

Trump also referenced his participation in a town hall on Fox News on Sept. 4, which Harris did not attend. He accused Harris of focusing on the wrong priorities and neglecting her responsibilities.

"THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE!" Trump declared.

Biden's disastrous debate performance against Trump in June spurred questions about his fitness to serve another term and led to calls from within his own party to end his bid for re-election. Biden subsequently withdrew from the race and endorsed Harris.

Trump's announcement follows a heated debate between himself and Harris on Tuesday night, where they clashed over various issues including abortion, immigration, and the economy. The debate also saw Trump engaging in heated exchanges with the moderators.

In the aftermath of the debate, Fox News Media executives sent a letter to the Harris and Trump campaigns offering to host another debate, with Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum as moderators. However, Trump has now rejected this proposal.
