Despite his recent conviction, former President Trump has resumed his campaign with renewed vigor, holding rallies nationwide and vowing to "save" blue states like New York and New Jersey.
Even after his guilty verdict in a New York criminal trial, former President Trump is unfazed and has resumed his campaign with renewed fervor. His campaign is warning President Biden's team to "buckle up" as Trump hits the campaign trail once again.
Despite being confined to a "freezing" courtroom for over six weeks, Trump managed to generate billions of dollars in earned media coverage through the trial. He hosted rallies, increased his lead over Biden in the polls, and raised more money than Biden in April.
Trump's campaign spokeswoman, Karoline Leavitt, highlighted his resilience in the face of adversity. "Biden and the Democrats better buckle up," she said. "Trump has emerged from the trial even stronger, and he's not slowing down."
Trump took advantage of the trial's location in New York City to draw attention to the city's decline under Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. In Harlem, he pledged to "straighten out New York" and was greeted warmly by locals chanting his name.
He also delivered pizzas to first responders at a midtown Manhattan fire department, a symbolic gesture that echoed his previous visit to commemorate the 9/11 anniversary.
On Wednesdays, Trump crisscrossed the nation for rallies and campaign stops, returning to New York for court on Thursdays. He held rallies in traditionally blue districts, including a massive gathering in Wildwood, New Jersey, with an estimated 80,000 to 100,000 attendees.
In the Bronx, Trump drew a crowd of 25,000, far exceeding the expected turnout. He vowed to turn New York City around and restore its former glory.
Despite his conviction, Trump's sentencing hearing is scheduled for July 11, just before the Republican National Convention. The presidential race against Biden will not slow down in June, with a debate set for an unprecedented early date of June 27.
Trump's campaign is confident that his recent experience in court will only strengthen his resolve and support among voters. His rallies have been met with enthusiasm, and his message of change and protectionism continues to resonate with many Americans.
As the campaign season heats up, Trump's return to the political arena will undoubtedly shake up the race and keep the electorate on edge. With his characteristic determination and unwavering belief in his message, Trump is poised to make a strong bid for the presidency once again.
