Former President Donald Trump has slammed ABC News for what he considers a "rigged deal" during his debate with Vice President Kamala Harris, accusing the moderators of unfairly targeting him while giving her a pass.

Former President Donald Trump has vehemently criticized ABC News for its handling of the recent presidential debate, accusing the network of a "rigged deal" and biased moderation. Trump's scathing remarks came during a segment on "FOX & Friends," where he unleashed his frustrations over the perceived unfair treatment he received compared to Vice President Kamala Harris.

"It was three to one. It was a rigged deal as I assumed it would be," Trump stated emphatically. He pointed out the discrepancy in the number of fact-checks assigned to each candidate, with the moderators targeting him five times while allowing Harris to make unfounded claims unchallenged. "The winner was 100% good coverage for her over the last month or last year," Trump asserted.

The former president expressed his disappointment with the biased approach of co-moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis, whom he accused of correcting him on factual matters while refraining from doing the same with Harris. "So many things I said were debunked, totally debunked, like Charlottesville… I have a list of seven different things," Trump explained.

He further criticized the moderators for failing to address the inaccuracy of Harris's claim that he had praised "very fine people" among the white supremacists and neo-Nazis involved in the 2017 Charlottesville "Unite the Right" rally. Trump, citing his own remarks from the press conference following the event, stated that he was referring to protesters and counterprotesters, not to the extremist groups.

Trump also accused the ABC moderators of interrupting him more frequently and posing more challenging questions compared to Harris. "They're the most dishonest, in my opinion, the most dishonest news organization, and that's saying a lot because they're all essentially really dishonest," he declared.

Despite the perceived bias, Trump asserted that his performance in the debate was one of his best. "I think I did great. I think it was one of my better debates, maybe my best debate I think," he stated confidently.

Trump's criticism of ABC News' moderation has been echoed by several pundits and media critics. Many have argued that the network's approach allowed Harris to evade accountability for inaccurate or misleading statements, while unfairly scrutinizing Trump.

The debate, which was highly anticipated, has sparked heated discussions and accusations of bias from both sides of the political spectrum. As the 2024 presidential election approaches, the issue of media impartiality and fairness in debates and other electoral events will continue to be a topic of debate.
