Investor and TV personality Kevin O'Leary has asserted that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's successful prosecution of former President Donald Trump will significantly contribute to Trump's potential reelection in November.

O'Leary argues that the guilty verdict in Trump's New York City trial, where he was convicted on all 34 counts of falsifying business records, will cast a negative light on the justice system and galvanize Trump's supporters.

"I think it's going to be a big, big debt that Donald Trump is going to owe Alvin Bragg," O'Leary said on Fox News. "I think it's going to be a major factor in him winning the election."

Numerous top Republicans have criticized those within the party who have remained silent about Trump's conviction, including former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.

Presidential candidate and staunch Trump supporter Vivek Ramaswamy denounced the trial as a "sham" and criticized the lack of consensus among jurors on the specific crime Trump committed.

Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville expressed concern over the erosion of constitutional rights. "These soft RINOs are letting their hatred for Donald Trump blind them from fighting to save our country," he stated.

Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn emphasized the alarming nature of the left's politicization of the justice system. "Joe Biden knows he can't beat Donald Trump at the ballot box, so he is weaponizing our justice system," she said.

Utah Senator Mike Lee stressed the importance of Republican unity in opposing the perceived assault on fair elections and the judicial system.

Florida Senator Rick Scott, a contender for Senate Republican leadership, condemned the "lawless election interference" and suggested that silence by party leaders implied an endorsement of the Biden administration's actions.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who is targeted by Scott's criticism, defended Trump after the verdict, labeling the charges as unfounded and predicting an overturned conviction on appeal.

Fox News has not received comments from representatives of Haley or Christie, but Christie has previously expressed concerns about Trump's legal troubles during his presidential campaign.

O'Leary's comments have sparked debate among political analysts, who are weighing the potential impact of Trump's conviction on his electoral chances. Some believe that the verdict could energize Trump's base, while others argue that it may alienate independent voters.
