Former President Trump's campaign has enlisted a high-profile cast of supporters, including ex-Democrats Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard, to counter Vice President Kamala Harris' policy announcements in the upcoming ABC News Presidential Debate.
Former President Donald Trump's campaign has assembled a formidable spin room team for Tuesday night's ABC News Presidential Debate, where he will face off against Vice President Kamala Harris. The team includes well-known ex-Democrats who have endorsed Trump, such as environmental activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard.
Kennedy, a prominent anti-vaccine advocate, suspended his own presidential campaign last month and threw his support behind Trump. Gabbard, who unsuccessfully ran for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020, left the party two years ago and became an independent. She publicly endorsed Trump last month.

The Trump campaign confirmed to Fox News that Kennedy and Gabbard would be present at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, where the debate will take place. They will be joined in the spin room by a roster of high-ranking Republicans, including Trump's running mate, Senator J.D. Vance of Ohio.
Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Whatley and Co-Chair Lara Trump, the former president's daughter-in-law, will also be on hand. Former Trump rivals turned campaign surrogates include Governor Doug Burgum of North Dakota, Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina, and Vivek Ramaswamy.

Other notable Republican surrogates in the spin room will include Senators Marco Rubio, Rick Scott, and Tom Cotton; Representatives Byron Donalds, Matt Gaetz, and Mike Waltz; and Governor Kristi Noem of South Dakota.
Politico first reported the news of Trump's spin room surrogates. The Harris campaign has announced that two former Trump White House officials, former Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci and former Homeland Security Adviser to then-Vice President Mike Pence, will be in the spin room on behalf of the vice president.

Additionally, the Harris campaign confirmed to Fox News that Governors Gavin Newsom of California, Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania, Roy Cooper of North Carolina, and Michelle Lujan Grisham of New Mexico will be present in the spin room to support Harris.
The debate, which is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. ET, will be the first and potentially only head-to-head showdown between Harris and Trump before Election Day on November 5th. Both candidates are expected to unveil their policy positions and engage in a heated exchange of views.
Trump's spin room team will be tasked with framing his performance in a positive light, highlighting his strengths and minimizing any weaknesses. The Harris campaign, on the other hand, will seek to portray the vice president as knowledgeable, capable, and ready to lead the country.
The outcome of the debate will likely have a significant impact on the remaining months of the presidential campaign. Trump will look to use it as a platform to bolster his support among his base and swing voters, while Harris will try to strengthen her appeal to voters who are still undecided.
With two former Democrats in Trump's spin room and two former Trump officials in Harris' spin room, the debate is shaping up to be an intense battleground not only on the debate stage but also in the spin rooms.
