JD Vance (R-Ohio), who has been selected as former President Donald Trump's running mate. Ramaswamy, who knew Vance from their days at Yale Law School, lauded his choice as "outstanding."

"He's going to be an awesome VP," Ramaswamy declared, adding that Vance's personal journey represents the American Dream and will inspire many. He praised Vance's policy positions, emphasizing his commitment to economic mobility and his appeal to individuals beyond the traditional Republican base.

Ramaswamy believes that Vance's appeal extends beyond young voters and will attract individuals seeking economic opportunities. He noted Vance's ability to connect with people who may not align completely with Republican ideology.

The assassination attempt left one spectator dead and two critically injured. Thomas Matthew Crooks, the would-be assassin, was killed by a Secret Service sniper. Ramaswamy expressed condolences for the victim's family and emphasized the need for reflection on the importance of unity and shared country.
