Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill had a touchdown celebration that raised eyebrows Sunday after he was detained by police hours before the game.
Tyreek Hill put his hands behind his back as if he were handcuffed after scoring an 80-yard touchdown catch for the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. Teammate Jaylen Waddle then approached him and "unhooked" imaginary cuffs. The celebration came hours after Hill was detained by police, an incident that is still under investigation.
Hill had a productive game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, finishing with seven catches for 130 yards and the touchdown. But his celebration was the most talked-about moment of the day.

After the game, Hill said he wasn't going to directly comment on the situation and would try to let "bygones be bygones." But he thanked his teammates for trying to help him out in the situation.
"I loved that. I was f---ing fired up, dog. … That goes to show that, man, it’s more than about football, dog, like, the brotherhood that we got outside of just football is amazing," he said. "Those dudes were really risking their lives for me. Shout out to (Jonnu Smith). Shout out (Calais Campbell). Shout out to Drew Brooks. Shout out to everybody, man. Shout out to my mom too."

Hill's detention was part of a traffic stop that also involved teammate Calais Campbell. Campbell told ESPN that Hill was handcuffed and that he tried to "de-escalate" the situation.
The Miami-Dade Police assigned one of the officers involved in Hill’s detention to "administrative duties" hours after the incident.

The NFL is also investigating the incident.
Hill's celebration has sparked debate on social media, with some people criticizing it as being disrespectful to law enforcement and others defending it as a way for Hill to express himself.
Hill has been a vocal critic of police brutality in the past, and his celebration could be seen as a way to highlight the issue. However, some people believe that his celebration was in poor taste and that he should have shown more respect for law enforcement.
Hill's celebration is just the latest example of the growing divide between law enforcement and the black community. It is a complex issue with no easy answers, and Hill's celebration is sure to continue to spark debate in the coming days.
