UNLV and the school's NIL collective, Blueprint Sports and Entertainment, have denied allegations that quarterback Matthew Sluka left the program due to unpaid NIL money. Sluka's agent and father claim he was promised $100,000 to transfer from Holy Cross but that UNLV did not fulfill its commitment.

**Las Vegas, NV** - UNLV and its NIL collective, Blueprint Sports and Entertainment, have refuted allegations that former quarterback Matthew Sluka left the program due to unpaid NIL money. Sluka's agent, Marcus Cromartie of Equity Sports, and his father, Bob, have claimed that UNLV did not honor a verbal $100,000 NIL offer for him to transfer from Holy Cross.

Blueprint Sports and Entertainment issued a statement denying these claims, stating that "there were no formal NIL offers made during Mr. Sluka's recruitment process." The collective further emphasized that it had not finalized or agreed to any NIL offers for Sluka apart from a completed community engagement event over the summer.

UNLV also released a statement, acknowledging Sluka's departure but attributing it to financial demands that violated NCAA rules and Nevada state law. The school stated that it does not engage in pay-for-play activities and considers Sluka's demands a breach of NCAA regulations.

Sluka, who announced his departure on Tuesday, stated that he made the decision due to "representations which were not upheld." He acknowledged that there had been discussions, but it became apparent that the commitments made to him would not be fulfilled in the future.

Sluka's departure comes on the heels of an undefeated 3-0 start for UNLV, in which he played a pivotal role by passing for 318 yards and six touchdowns while rushing for 253 yards and another score. The Rebels will now likely turn to Hajj-Malik Williams or Cameron Friel to start the remainder of the season.

Despite the accusations, UNLV maintains that it has honored all previously agreed-upon scholarships for Sluka. The university also emphasized that it will continue to operate its programs within the framework of NCAA rules and regulations, as well as Nevada state laws.

It remains to be seen if the allegations will lead to any further investigations or actions. In the meantime, UNLV will continue its season without Sluka, hoping to maintain its perfect record.
