Venezuela secured the top spot in Group B of the Copa América after defeating Jamaica 3-0 on Sunday, while Ecuador advanced as the runner-up following a scoreless draw with Mexico. The two teams join Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and Uruguay in the quarterfinals.

Venezuela put on an impressive performance on Sunday, dismantling Jamaica 3-0 to claim the top spot in Group B of the Copa América. The victory marked Venezuela's second Copa América group stage win, following their first in 2007. The team also made history by winning all three of its group stage matches for the first time in the tournament's history.

Venezuela's victory was powered by Salomón Rondón, the team's all-time leading scorer, who netted his 43rd international goal. Rondón's tally surpassed the combined goal total of the rest of the Venezuelan squad, showcasing his immense value to the team.

Jamaica, on the other hand, remained winless in nine Copa América matches. The Reggae Boyz struggled to find their footing against a dominant Venezuelan side and were unable to break the deadlock.

In the other Group B match, Ecuador and Mexico played out a scoreless draw at State Farm Stadium. The result was enough for Ecuador to advance to the quarterfinals as the group runner-up, while Mexico was eliminated.

Ecuador's qualification marked the team's third appearance in the Copa América quarterfinals in the last four editions. Before that, Ecuador had been eliminated in the group stage for six consecutive tournaments.

Mexico, meanwhile, faced disappointment as they failed to advance despite opening the tournament with a win against Trinidad and Tobago. This marked the first time Mexico had been eliminated in the Copa América group stage after winning their opening match.

The United States, who are competing in the Copa América as a guest nation, are focused on securing advancement to the quarterfinals. Head coach Gregg Berhalter has emphasized the importance of taking each game one at a time and building momentum as the tournament progresses.

Uruguay head coach Marcelo Bielsa was suspended for one match after criticizing officials following their match against Argentina. Bielsa's suspension will force him to miss Uruguay's crucial quarterfinal clash against Chile.

USA and Argentina remain the favorites to win the Copa América, according to oddsmakers. The United States is currently listed as a +450 favorite, while Argentina is at +200. Chile (+500), Brazil (+550), and Colombia (+600) are also among the contenders.
