CNN anchor Kate Bolduan questions how Harris can improve her poll numbers when former President Trump continues to outperform her on economic issues.
CNN anchor Kate Bolduan expressed concern on Friday morning about Vice President Kamala Harris's apparent struggle to gain ground on former President Donald Trump in the polls. Specifically, Bolduan highlighted Trump's strong performance on economic issues, despite Harris's strong debate performance and effective messaging in other areas.
"You’ve got, potentially, a good sign that Kamala Harris can talk about, kind of quote-unquote late-stage change, but you still have Donald Trump killing her when it comes to the economy," Bolduan stated.

Polling data following Tuesday night's debate showed Trump maintaining a considerable advantage over Harris on the economy, even though a majority of respondents believed Harris had won the debate.
Both Van Jones and Alyssa Farah Griffin, CNN political commentators, downplayed the significance of the polling numbers. Jones pointed to former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who was perceived as stronger than President Barack Obama on the economy but ultimately lost the election.

Griffin argued that Trump's tendency to become sidetracked will prevent him from capitalizing on his economic advantage. She cited Trump's recent statements at the debate as evidence of his lack of focus.
Jones acknowledged that every candidate has strengths and weaknesses, with the economy being a weaker point for Harris and abortion being a weak point for Trump.

Bolduan remained skeptical about the Harris campaign's efforts on the economy, stating that she had not received satisfactory answers from campaign officials regarding her performance on the issue.
"And at some point, I’m asking, ‘Where’s the expiration date on that reasoning?’ As at some point there has to be," Bolduan remarked.

The Harris campaign has not yet responded to Fox News Digital's request for comment.
Trump's strong performance on economic issues poses a significant challenge for Harris, who is seeking to improve her poll numbers ahead of the November election. Despite her strong debate performance, Harris must find a way to address Trump's economic advantage if she wants to gain ground in the polls.
It remains to be seen how the Harris campaign will respond to this challenge and whether they can effectively communicate their economic message to voters.
