Sampson, a true freshman, showcased his remarkable talent by rushing for 101 yards and scoring four touchdowns on just 12 carries in the opening two quarters. His game-breaking speed and unmatched determination proved to be too much for Kent State's defense to handle.

Tennessee's offense, spearheaded by sophomore quarterback Nico Iamaleava, was unstoppable throughout the day. Iamaleava completed 16 of 21 passes for 250 yards and three touchdowns, spreading the ball around to his talented receivers.

Wide receiver Jalin Hyatt led the Volunteers' pass-catching attack with six receptions for 120 yards and two touchdowns, while fellow receiver Julian Fleming added 75 yards and a touchdown on three catches.

The Volunteers' defense matched their offensive counterparts' stellar performance, holding Kent State to just 50 total yards of offense and forcing three turnovers.

Linebacker Jeremy Banks led the way for Tennessee's defense with a team-high seven tackles, two for loss, and a forced fumble. Defensive end Tyler Baron added six tackles, a sack, and an interception.

Kent State struggled to find any offensive rhythm against Tennessee's suffocating defense. Quarterback Collin Schlee completed just 5 of 18 passes for 28 yards with two interceptions, while running back Marquez Cooper was limited to 25 rushing yards on eight attempts.

Tennessee's victory marks their second consecutive shutout and extends their winning streak to five games. The Volunteers are now 5-0 on the season and have established themselves as a legitimate contender in the SEC East.

For Kent State, the loss drops them to 0-5 on the season and highlights the challenges they face as they attempt to rebuild under first-year head coach Kenni Burns.

As Tennessee prepares for their upcoming matchup against No. 15 Florida, the Volunteers can take solace in knowing that they have a potent offense, a lockdown defense, and the support of a raucous home crowd at Neyland Stadium.

Kent State, meanwhile, will look to find some momentum in their upcoming game against Bowling Green as they strive to avoid extending their losing streak to six games.
