Marcus Stroman's frustration boiled over after Gleyber Torres' fielding miscue, but the New York Yankees rallied for a 16-5 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays thanks in part to a Torres home run that prompted a quick reconciliation between pitcher and infielder.

The New York Yankees' recent struggles reached a boiling point on Friday night, but the team's fortunes may have turned thanks to an outburst by pitcher Marcus Stroman.

Entering the game against the Toronto Blue Jays, the Yankees had lost 10 of their previous 13 contests, sparking panic among the team's loyal fanbase. Frustrations escalated further in the fifth inning when Stroman, a former Blue Jay, yelled at second baseman Gleyber Torres for failing to record a force out that would have ended the inning.

Toronto scored two runs on the play, taking a 2-1 lead and prompting Yankees captain Aaron Judge to intervene. Judge approached Stroman in the dugout, apparently attempting to calm him and prevent the pitcher from directing his anger towards his teammates.

Stroman appeared to heed Judge's advice, and the Yankees responded immediately. In the top of the sixth inning, the team rallied for six runs, including a two-run home run by Torres. Stroman was the first player out of the dugout to congratulate Torres on his homer, signaling a quick resolution to the earlier tension.

After the game, Stroman admitted to letting his emotions get the better of him. "Raw emotions and passion are part of the game. When you care deeply…frustrations come into the light," Stroman wrote on social media. "That’s on me for losing my cool. I have to be better."

Torres downplayed the incident, stating that he was not bothered by Stroman's outburst. The Yankees went on to add seven more runs in the ninth inning, securing a 16-5 victory.

The win snapped the Yankees' losing streak and marked their highest-scoring game of the season. It remains to be seen whether Stroman's emotional outburst will serve as a catalyst for a sustained turnaround for the team, but it has certainly injected some much-needed energy into the clubhouse.

In addition to his on-field outburst, Stroman also took to social media to express his appreciation for his teammates. "The squad went crazy today. Love to see it," he wrote. "Truly love this team and will always compete at the highest level for my brothers."

The Yankees will look to build on their victory when they face the Blue Jays again on Saturday night. Stroman is expected to start the game, and all eyes will be on him to see if he can maintain his composure and help the Yankees continue their winning ways.
